Stockwatch

A smoke detector for your Shopify inventory.

Stockwatch keeps a record of every quantity change at every location, explains each one where Shopify's own history can name the app, staff member or order behind it, and alerts you when stock is set to zero, drops in bulk, goes negative or is about to oversell.

What you get

• Every change, explained. Before and after for each stock level, who or what changed it according to Shopify's adjustment history, and a plain sentence when nothing explains it.
• Alerts that catch a sync app misfiring. Twenty items zeroed in the same minute with no orders behind them is one email, sent within minutes, not two thousand.
• Snapshots you can restore from. Daily snapshots of every quantity, a compare view, and a CSV export in the format Shopify's inventory import accepts.
• Read-only by design. Stockwatch never writes a quantity. It asks for no permission that could.

Install

Stockwatch is a Shopify app. Install it from the Shopify App Store; the first snapshot is taken during setup. There is a free plan for small catalogs and paid plans from $9 a month with a 14-day free trial.
